Dr Alexandra (Alexa) Fong graduated with a dual degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery and Biomedical Science from the University of Queensland in 2014.
Following this, she worked as a medical officer at Mater Hospital Brisbane, Mater Mothers’ Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital and Kingaroy Hospital, where she gained experience in various specialities including Obstetrics & gynaecology, Paediatrics, General medicine, Urology and Orthopaedics.
She commenced her GP training in 2018 and was awarded Fellowship from RACGP at the start of 2020.
Dr Alexa is a friendly and attentive doctor who enjoys supporting her patients in all aspects of their health and wellbeing journey. Her special interests are in Women’s health, Pregnancy planning and management, Children’s health, Disease prevention and Chronic disease management. For pregnant women living within the Mater Mothers’ Hospital catchment, Dr Alexa is aligned with their Antenatal program and is able to provide Shared antenatal care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, eating good food and playing social volleyball.
