Dr Ammarah Tahir is an experienced specialist general practitioner who has worked across Australia in hospitals including Townsville, Ayr, Palm island, Mackay and Westmead in various specialities. She has also worked as a research assistant in Sexual health.

After completing her GP training in Townsville she has gained extensive experience working in GP practices in rural Queensland and Emergency departments across NSW as well as at a gastroenterology clinic in Townsville Hospital.

She has a special interest in gastroenterology, emergency medicine, dermatology and sexual health. She enjoys working together with patients to treat their chronic diseases using a holistic approach.

She is experienced in treating women’s and children’s health concerns as well as antenatal care. In her spare time she likes to read, travel and watch theatre.
