Special interest: Diabetes mellitus, women’s health, antenatal care and child care
Arlene completed her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines in 1988 and trained in Endocrinology. She practiced internal medicine and endocrinology in the Philippines for 15 years until her family migrated to Australia in 2010. Henceforth, she decided to pursue training in general practice to provide holistic care. She worked as a GP registrar in Murrumbidgee local health district and finished her diploma in child health in 2017. She was awarded fellow of the RACGP in 2019. She has worked as a Gp VMO in rural Queensland and NSW.
In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, cross stitching and crocheting.
