Dr Champica having graduated from the University of Kelaniya – Sri Lanka, worked as a government doctor in Sri Lanka for 14 years, acquiring experience in various fields of medicine. In 2014 she joined the Campbelltown emergency department and worked there for 2 years. She then began her GP carrier from Coffs harbour in 2016. Since then, she has served in harden and Mittagong.

Her special interests are skin cancer surgery, minor surgical procedures, dermatology, paediatrics and general medicine.

She has undergone special training in skin cancer treatment and surgeries to become an accredited skin cancer doctor.

To supplement her interests in paediatrics, she completed her diploma in child health in 2018.

She obtained her fellowship in General Practice in 2020 and currently working towards a fellowship in skin cancer.
