Dr Fazeela Sood

Profile
Dr Sood completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney in 2011. She then worked in a broad range of disciplines within NSW Health over three years including paediatrics, obstetrics/ gynaecology, psychiatry, geriatrics and other pertinent areas of medicine, before specialising in Australian General Practice.
She completed pertinent research in GP Waiting Room Infection Control, the findings of which she presented at a national GP conference, and has been involved in teaching or assessment of medical students at the University of New South Wales since 2017. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018 and has worked in numerous practices and aged care homes across Sydney before Myhealth Barangaroo. She has additional qualifications in Implanon insertion and removal, as well as a FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health (theory).
Dr Sood believes in providing high quality, holistic medical care and the importance of lifelong learning in medicine. She strives to keep up to date with the latest advancements in medical knowledge and incorporate these routinely to the care of her patients.
As a former respite carer for children with disabilities, she has a keen interest in disability medicine, Workcover, women and children’s health, pregnancy and preconception care, chronic disease management, mental health, student health, geriatrics, preventative health and travel medicine. She is also passionate about systemic improvements in Australian healthcare, and under a different hat, explores relevant opportunities as the Medical Director for Nucam Group.
Outside of the workplace, she loves nutrition, health and an overall state of mind and body wellness.
