Dr Rose graduated from Melbourne University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree, majoring in Pharmacology and Pathology. He completed Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degrees in 1984. In 1988 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology diploma in 1991.

Dr Rose specialises in a number of general and cosmetic surgical procedures including fracture management, facial wrinkle treatment, acne and other skin problems. He is particularly interested in more advanced skin cancer/ lesion surgery.
