Profile

Dr Judy Fernando graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 2000. She spent her first 3 years of her medical Career including her intern year at Monash Medical Centre. She did her GP training in Melbourne and received her Fellowship in the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006.

She worked as a GP in Melbourne before she decided to move to sunny QLD. In 2009 she worked as a solo practitioner at Middlemount, a rural mining town where she was exposed to the challenges of rural and industrial medicine. Since then she perused her career expansion in occupational medicine by gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine. She is an Appointed Medical Advisor (AMA) formerly known as Nominated Medical Adviser (NMA) for QLD Coal Board medicals, an Approved Medical Practitioner ( AMP )for NSW Order 43 medicals and an Approved Health Practitioners (AHP) for Health assessment for rail safety workers.

She is a local resident and is married with 2 children.
