Dr Subasinghe has been working as a medical doctor in the Redlands for the last 18 years and as a General Practitioner for the past 12 years.

She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine qualification in 1987. In 2000, she obtained her Masters in Public Health from UQ. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Prior to General Practice, she worked in the Redlands, Wynnum and Mater Children’s Hospitals.
