Dr Michael Yang is a friendly and approachable GP who grew up in Sydney. He studied at UNSW, completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in 2015. He went on to train at Westmead Hospital and finished his senior residency at Westmead Children’s Hospital along with a Diploma in Child Health in 2018. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020 and has completed further skin cancer training with the University of Queensland, achieving a High Distinction.

Dr Michael Yang enjoys the opportunity to create a meaningful long term therapeutic relationship with his patients, and feels this is a unique strength of General Practice. He takes pride in constantly updating his knowledge as well as teaching and mentoring junior doctors and medical students. He takes particular interest in chronic disease management, preventative care, mental health, and paediatrics.

Dr Michael Yang also does skin checks and performs minor procedures including skin excisions and implanon insertion and removal. He is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

In his free time, Dr Michael Yang enjoys film photography, playing guitar, and being a home barista.
