Dr Chen graduated from National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan in 2006. He completed his training in VGH Taipei (台北榮總).
He has been working as a GP in Innisfail, Queensland since 2019. He was accredited for his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2021 then relocated to Brisbane in 2023.

He has special interests in chronic disease management, dermatological conditions and paediatrics.
