Dr Kwan initially completed a Bachelor of Science in medical microbiology & immunology in 2008, then completed his medical degree in 2012. He found his passion for General Practice during medical school, and this eventuated in his General Practice Fellowship in 2017. His exposures have varied across injectables to corrective health in max/min security prisons, and medicinal cannabis for chronic pain & mental health conditions.

Rex furthered his career during the pandemic, and worked with Westmead Hospital COVID care teams & Department of SA Health in consulting both COVID patients and guiding GPs & specialists in the appropriate antiviral choices. He continues to work part time in Hospital in the Home treatments.

Rex is an advocate of medicinal cannabis, an authorised prescriber and lecturer in this field, and equally enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
