Dr Tang obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Studies from the University of New South Wales before completing his internship and residency at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney.
He has worked in hospitals across Australia including Wollongong Hospital, Coffs Harbour Hospital, Bundaberg Base Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital, where he undertook training in general surgery and emergency medicine before becoming a general practitioner.

He consults on all areas of general practice, with subspecialty interests in dermatology, skin cancer, minor skin surgery, musculoskeletal medicine, chronic disease and preventive medicine.
