Dr. Sharmila Kumar completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with more than 20 years of clinical experience in all aspects of General Practice.

Dr. Sharmila Kumar is passionate about providing a high standard of care to all her patients and speaks Tamil. Her special interests include preventative health, women’s health, dermatology, adolescent medicine, ophthalmology,aged care and complex care medicine. Sharmila had completed a Diploma of Dermatology from
Wales, UK. Sharmila is a medical educator for the RACGP and is an adjunct lecturer of Sydney Medical School. She is a strong advocate of excellent communication, shared decision making and continuity of care.

Sharmila is an avid tennis player. Music and dance are also passions of hers, having trained in Indian classic dance.
