Dr Tregonning completed his medical studies at University of Sydney in 2013 before undertaking residency at Concord Hospital where he gained experience in medical and surgical specialties as well as paediatrics and mental health. He has also completed a Diploma in Child Health and holds certification as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME).

He has completed Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and developed experience in the field at multiple clinics throughout Sydney. He maintains an interest in all aspects of General Practice with special interests in general medicine, paediatrics, mental health, skin cancer checks and travel medicine. His practice includes minor surgical procedures and implanon insertion and removal. He performs CASA Aviation Medical Exams. He is passionate about the importance of quality communication in family-oriented medicine and developing lasting relationships with patients.

In his spare time he is an avid rugby and cricket fan and enjoys playing golf and guitar.
