Vara is the first and only Nurse Practitioner working in South-eastern suburbs of Melbourne in general practice. Vara is a  highly skilled, knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner with three decades of experience in general practice and hospital settings in various departments such as respiratory, general medicine, intensive care and coronary care.

Vara is passionate about your health and providing quality health care tailored to your specific needs. She is well qualified and gained experience in acute and general practice to optimise delivery of care. Vara’s aim is to provide a relaxing patient experience by allowing you to feel welcome, minimising wait times where possible and always aiming for a suitable appointment length to allow the quality and high standards of care to deliver.

Vara believes the importance of visiting is to stay healthy, not only assisting with illness, but also disease prevention such as skin cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer and preventing hospital admissions with deterioration of chronic conditions such as Asthma, COPD and heart failure.

  • Masters in advanced nursing practice – The University of Melbourne
  • Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (ICU and Coronary care) -Deakin University, Melbourne
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (General, midwifery and public health)
  • Professional certificate of Skin cancer Medicine
  • Professional certificate in Dermatology
  • Cert in Immunisation
  • Cert in sexual Health
  • Asthma Educator
  • TAE Cert IV
  • PAP smear Accredited.
